receiving email

Asked by carolinerowe

ubuntu linux 7.04 new bee.
I`ve put info in my evolution account for plus.net.
pop3
mail.plus.net for incoming
relay.plus.net for outgoing
username and a tick for password

all ok, and emails go out.
the replies and new emails don`t come back.

At the moment I can send emails in ubuntu, but drop back into xp to receive them.
What a pain - any settings i need check?

Howdy Mike-d. here,
Disclaimer: I mostly file Bug and Crash Reports.
It looks like your settings should work, as long as your user name and password are enterered correctly, and you have entered you email address correctly, and people email you with the right address.
maybe you already got the emails, you might scroll thru any messages you might have already.
is there a setting in xp you have that does not leave them on your server but takes them off the account,
there is a setting for that in evolution mail.
is your email address correct in the required info section
in evolution
go to edit->Preferences->Evolution Preferences
make sure email address account you want to use is checked.
click edit too check addtional settings and and options.
do you need SPA enabled or not, authenication or not, maybe not, I forgot, I looked at the mail.plus guides. does it prompt you for a password ?

Can you help with this problem?
