Does Firefox 2 support 128-bit encryption?

Asked by Karl_L

I want to access a site for a purchase that lists only Windows OS using IE or Firefox 2+ as supporting 128-bit
encryption used by the site. I'm using Ubuntu 7.10 with Firefox 2. Will that support 128-bit encryption on such
a site?

Yes, Firefox 2 in Ubuntu supports 128-bit encryption.

To see what level of encryption is being used with a particular site just click on the padlock icon in the location bar.
A window will pop up with security information about the site including what type of encryption is in use.

I hope that helps.
