Unable to open google contacts

Asked by Jared Norris

I'm beginning to wonder if it's possible to get Evolution 3.2.3 (default with Ubuntu 12.04) to recognise a Google addressbook with two factor authentication. I have email and calendar working great but can't seem to make the contacts sync.

I've created a application specific password for it but can't find anywhere to input it into Evolution when looking through the addressbook details.

Is this possible? If so, what steps are required to make it function?

Thanks in advance.

This doesn't provide any information on how to supply evolution with the correct password for 2 factor authentication to work with contacts. I also checked the linked pages and none of those even mention that it is or isn't able to be done.

Seems odd to expire a question just because it's unanswered. Anyway, the problem still persists.
