Import Outlook 2007 tasks in Evolution?

Asked by tom

I tried to import thousands of tasks in Evolution 3.2.3. and 3.4.x without success.

I can only import them via PST if I'm right and when I imported them, I only get the task's subject NO 'Due Date', 'Category' or other data is imported.

Is there any other way to import tasks?

If you use a CSV instead of PST, is it better?

A CSV isn't working at all. Wether export nor import in Evolution. Also Evolution can't import it's own exported CSV btw. (need new bug report)

Now I did the following steps:

1. I created a new PST folder in Outlook 2007
2. I created a new Task folder inside this folder
3. I copied all tasks into this folder
4. I installed EssentialPIM Free and imported this new PST into EssentialPIM
5. I exported the new Essential PIM tasks into a new *.ics file
6. I changed to Ubuntu 12.04 + Evolution 3.2.3
7. I just double clicked the exported *.ics file in Nautilus
8. The Evolution Import Manager starts and I chose to import the data into Evolution-Tasks
9. Only task subjects were imported, too.

The DueDate won't be imported properly.

As you can see from the screenshots the DueDate was imported as StartDate(!). Therefore, here are two different StartDates with twoe different dates (The original StartDate and the DueDate as a new StartDate). Now we have two(!) StartDates and an empty DueDate :(

I seems that the Import routine for the DueDate is only a simple copy of the StartDate routine without a changed DueDate.

The Categories aren't imported via PST or *.ics file, too!
