problem connection to 1and1.co.uk exchange servers

Hi,

I have an MS Exchange account hosted by www.1and1.co.uk.

I have been using outlook 2003 to connect to their servers or I log in via OWA

I am now trying to configure evolution212 to connect to the servers but I can't get passed the authentication part (receive mail tab) of the wizard.

I select Server type: "microsoft exchange"

I enter my username: "<email address hidden>" (I have also tried, several times, an actual username which I was assigned)

I enter OWA URL: as "https://exchange.1and1.co.uk"

Then I press the Authenticate button and put in my password in and it fails. I know all the details I am using are correct because I use them all the time but maybe it needs to be entered in a different manner?

Any help would be appreciated.

You have to launch following command BEFORE using Evolution Exchange Account Wizard:
        /usr/bin/exchange-connector-setup-2.12

(in case of command not found you better check which version of connector you have with "ls /usr/bin/exchange-connector-setup*")

thanks I tried that but that did not help. I get exactly the same problem and it will not authenticate.

Ok I've sorted this problem now.

For your referrenced the OWA URL could only be of the format http://exchange.1and1.co.uk/exchange. (httpS or without the "/exchange" would not work - although it does if you go straight to it via a web page)
