How do you backup/archive email in Evolution?

Asked by David A. Hicks

I'm working on going totally Open Source on my system, and have Ubuntu 11.04 running stable onboard with Evolution. I receive a number of emails daily and would like a way to archive them. Is there something I'm missing? I noticed a similar post on here earlier with a link to Redhat with a solution, that link is now posting a 404 error code. Help please!

Thanks,

David

Evolution will be replaced with Thunderbird in Ubuntu 11.10 as the default email program - release date 13 October, 2011. Thunderbird has an archiving facility built in.

If your question relates to backing up, you can use the default backup program DejaDup which will back up everything in your Home Directory and that includes all your emails.

Can you help with this problem?
