evolution mail wont stop loading trash

this evolution mail need a lot of work. now every time it receives mail it puts every thing I have put in the trash and deleted the trash, back up on my inbox. I deleted the mail at gmail trash is empty and still it puts it back in inbox again every time. how do I stop this from happening. drive me nut please help
Q? or is there a better email program that I can use. I find I've wasted days and months on this thing I don't want kids and now I feel like I have one, that can't think. help please.
