System Tray Notification for other folders

Asked by Noah

For my IMAP mail account, the system notification tray only seems to be activated by new mail in the inbox.

Is it possible to make this icon appear for new mail in other folders?

Did you check the "check messages in all folders" for your IMAP account? (Sorry if the translation is not accurate, my Ubuntu is not in english).
Maybe it would work? Anyway the plugin to notify the user does not offer any option, so if this is not working, I guess you don't really have a solution unfortunately.

Yes, the "check messages in all folders" option was checked.

I don't see any solution to your problem unfortunately. Maybe there is one, but I didn't find it in Evolution's settings.

Go to Preference | Plugins

you will find a plugin called "Mail Notification" that allow you to configure if you want to have notifications applied for all folders or not.

Thanks "Ahmad Tarek"! I went into Edit -> Plugins -> Mail Notification -> Configuration -> unchecked "Notify new messages for Inbox only" and it worked like a charm,

Can you help with this problem?
