What's your email provider ?
What protocol are you using to receive mail ? POP, IMAP, ... ?

For receiving mails try pop instead of imap.

if you put pop it would not pull the mails

Thanks BabyGeek.

this are the settings i have for all the e-mmail accounts.

Yahoo
server type is pop
server - pop.mail.yahoo.co.uk
security- ssl encryption
server type smtp
server smtp.mail.yahoo.co.uk
security ssl encryption
type plain.

For Gmail
server type is imap
server-imap.gmail.com
security-ssl encryption
server type smtp
sever-smtp.gmail.com
security ssl encryption
type- plain

this is the account that repeat mail the i have in my inbox already <email address hidden>
server type pop
server pop3.live.com
security ssl encryption
server type smtp
server- smtp.live.com:587
security tsl encryption
type -plain
then i have the pgp security key which i got from password and encryption key, then add the key in the security.

everything woks is just that i have this account pulling mails that i already have

There's a new feature in Hotmail: mails deleted by email clients are saved under "Trash > POP" in Hotmail.
Go in your Hotmail settings and make sure that "Don't let another program delete messages from Hotmail..." is checked, then try to check the box "leave mails on server" in Evolution, you can still access your mails via your hotmail trash.

If you absolutly want to keep mails on inbox, i've found some solutions:
- In evolution, backup your settings (File > Backup settings...), delete your hotmail account then add it again.
or
- Enable a redirection from your hotmail account to another mail account.
or
- Use thunderbird.

Can you help with this problem?
