I think you have to install the package

aspell-es

and the packages this one depends on (like aspell, dictionary-common, libaspell15...)

There are also two other spell cherer packages for Spanish, ispanish and myspell-es, you could install those as well, they are for other programs like OpenOffice.org (and I asssume LibreOffice as well).
