Evolution shuts down when I close a message

It's random but frequent. When I close a message Evolution shuts down. I thought maybe it was because the message "X" was over the top of the Evolution "X" so I tried minimizing the message, moving it to the middle of the screen and then closing it. The same thing occurs. The message shuts down and Evolution shuts down. They both disappear at the same time, not one after the other. When I restart evolution the message that I read and was trying to close is still marked as unread.

The problem has actually gotten worse. Once or twice Evolution has closed after sending a message. I like Evolution but I can't continue to deal with the problem. without an answer I will need to find a different email program.

Did you try to reinstall Evolution ? (I suggest you make a backup before.)
