Set up mail window too big (Evolution setup)

Asked by Alan Horkan

I'm running Ubuntu 11-4 off a USB key on a 10' netbook.

The setup mail option starts Evolution and the screen is too big to fit on screen. The buttons at the bottom of the dialog are not shown, there doesn't seem to be any way to workaround this. Even if there was a workaround besides blinding hitting enter to accept next for all the answers, ordinary users are unlikely to be able to guess so this is probably a bug as well as a question. What I'd like to know is if there is in fact a way to shift the viewport so I can get at the buttons of over-sized applications? There are just too many applications broken by design, suffering from the last ten years of developers with large screens.

Suggestion:
default to Evolution Express instead, or hopefully they've learned from the express version and finally fixed the original beast and an upgrade is needed instead. (I was hoping for Google Mail integration anyhow.)

Hold ALT and you can drag the window from ANY point in the window

Thanks for the workaround.

I'd mark this as "Problem solved" but the underlying problem remains, Evolution shouldn't be included by default, at least not anything bigger than Evolution Express.

Can you help with this problem?
