Error when starting Evolution

  I have been getting an error message from Evolution telling me "Error while Storing folder 'Inbox'" I have found this problem attacked at http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=106191&highlight=%22Error+storing+folder+INBOX%22

However; when looking at the Home Folder; I do not see anything about Evolution, much less mail.

Under the "Places" menu; I have tried the "Search for files" looking for Evolution and came up empty. I also tried "mail" and again came up empty.

Any help would very much be appreciated

To get around this problem; i have been exiting Evolution and logging on to my "windows" machine to retrieve my email. I would like very much to get away from windows; yet Evolution is not making it very easy.

The folder is called .evolution (dot in the beginning means it's hidden) and should be in your home folder. To show hidden files and folders in nautilus press Ctrl+H or check it in the view menu.

It should be enough to rename "mail" folder inside that .evolution one.
