Empty message list for IMAP server

Asked by David Friedlander

I just upgraded to Breezy, not sure if that is the issue. I have an IMAP account, and at present, the INBOX shows 1541 messages, but when I click on that folder, nothing shows in the message list. I have "cleared" the filter, but still nothing shows up. Other mailboxes show messages.

Also (perhaps related?) the Outbox shows one message, but whenI click on it, similarly, nothing shows in the message list.

This is a bug in evolution when you use Courier IMAP as IMAP server. To circumvent this you can try to change your account settings to "Show subscribed mails only". Then use "Folder->Subscriptions" to subscribe to your inbox and any other folder. You might need to restart Evolution in between.
