Just backup and/or copy your ~/evolution directory and use the Import/Export wizard of Outlook.

Sorry, I am a newbie... none of the import options seems to recognise the files... perhaps is the file extension?... shall change it?... what import options should I use?
Thanks

First you can export your emails by selecting all of them (ctrl+a for example), right clicking and selecting save as.

They will be in an mbox format (simply all the messages concatenated), so unless outlook can read this (as far as i know it can't) you will have to convert it somehow (nevertheless give the file an mbox extension and try).

I've made a quick search and this mbox2eml: http://home.arcor.de/luethje/prog/ or this mbox2eml: http://freenet-homepage.de/ukrebs/english/mbox2eml.html, may be useful for that.

It should actually be a feature request to have an export option to Outlook. What if a company decides to move from Evolution to Outlook?

I've done a migration from Thunderbird under Windows to an Apple Mail on Mac by adding an .mbox extension to thunderbird's mail container file (the one without extension).
Wonder if you could reverse such process by deleting the .mbox extension and placing the file in TB's mail folder.
