yesterday I could send email frm evolution today I can not

Asked by Cliffm

I am using a recently reloaded Ubuntu 10.10. Evolution now tells me I am not logged in. Is there a switch that I have over looked? Other than the usual request for sending and receiving information when getting started in Evolution. Do I need to reload Ubuntu?

This is the message I receive when trying to send emails in Evolution. Thunderbird seems to work.

I recommend to use Thunderbird. It's a professional mail client and it works. You can find it under http://www.mozilla.org/.

Evolution makes a lot of problems. This forum is quite full of them.

@peter

Thunderbird is into standard repositories so please prefer to install Thunderbird from Ubuntu repositories.

Using Applications→ Ubuntu software center or by using terminal and the apt-get install command:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install thunderbird
