Hi,

I do this but i use thunderbird not evolution.

Unless you use more then the email feature on evolution you could just install thunderbird.

in a terminal window just type

sudo apt-get install thunderbird

In the Thunderbird configuration settings, you simply need to enter a different SMTP server address (for example: smtp.euronet.nl) of the alternative ISP you want to use (for sending mail).

Keep the standard pop3 or imap server settings of your own ISP to ensure you can keep receiving your mail.

So I think you can only play around with the smtp server settings....

If your ISP is blocking any traffic on port 25 when using another SMTP server from a different ISP, then you can create a Gmail Email account, and then use the following instructions to use Google's SMTP server on port 465 or 587:

Thunderbird solved the problem. Would be interested to know how to configure evolution.
