more control over images in email

Asked by Jim White

In Evolution 2.10.1 and Feisty the only choices for allowing images in email are to load images only from contacts or to load all images. I would like to load images in some newsletter and lists I subscibe to, but they don't come from a "contact."

In Windows (where I come from) loading of images can be a security risk. Is this also true in Ubuntu and Evolution? Thanks.

I just found the shortcut for Load Images (Ctrl+I) so it's not such a big deal.

It can be a security risk as it's possible to run a virus from an image. So that's one of the reasons. Of course, Windows viruses are harmless in Ubuntu, so you must really be unlucky to catch one in Evolution.

The main reason is mainly to save some bandwith I think.
