How do I upgrade to evolution 2.31.1 on Ubuntu 10.10

Asked by Stephen

Hi,

I'm pretty new to linux. I've upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10 and evolution is really unstable. It's been indicated by others that 2.32.1 is a more stable version than the one that comes by default, but how do I upgrade.

I've got a version from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evolution/2.32.1-0ubuntu2 but don't know how to install/upgrade!

Cheers

If you run:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:suraia/ppa; sudo apt-get update; sudo apt-get upgrade

You will get 2.32.1

Those are natty files and no doubt it will be in the maverick repos before long.

Thanks, that's worked, but I no longer have an exchange plugin - how can I get that?

Thanks

Not sure, you are using a 3rd party repo so its possiblt they haven't compiled the plugin. You could comntact the maintainer(s) and enquire

Can you help with this problem?
