Hotmail kann man nicht mit handelsüblichen Mail-Programmen benutzen (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotmail#Funktionen). Microsoft ermöglicht nur die Webmail-Nutzung und die Nutzung über ein spezielles Windows-Programm, das aber vom Leistungsumfang her nicht mit Evolution vergleichbar ist.

Ich empfehle dir einen Account bei Web.de oder GMX oder einem anderen Freemail-Anbieter mit Unterstützung für POP3 oder IMAP sowie SMTP. Alternativ kannst du mit jedem Browser auf deinen Hotmail-Account zugreifen (Webmail-Zugang).
