open MS Outline Express Contacts in Evolution

Hello :

I've installed Ubuntu 10.10 in a partition on my Windows Vista laptop (Presario CQ60). However, now I cannot boot into Windows. There appears to be some file damage. At boot time I've selected "repair", but this doesn't help.

I need to recover the Contacts from Outlook Express. Fortunately, I can access the Windows partition from Ubuntu. I've copied the Contacts document from the Windows partition to the Ubuntu desktop. I can open the document but I can't find any way to convert the contents to a readable form.

Using 'Import' in Evolution, I've located the file "Elisabeth.contacts" in the Users folder on the Windows partition. The file type is selected as "Outlook Personal Folders.pst". (No other choice is offered by Evolution). However, the 'Forward' button remain grey so the file cannot be imported.

Hello ;
Problem solved.
I discovered repeated attempts to boot Vista gradually solved the problem. Each attempt appeared to advance or dissolve whatever error or errors existed. Now up and running. Next step > Goodbye Windows!
