cannot send mail in evolution. Tried a number of online fixes.

Asked by Pete Loignon

I can receive mail on evolution (@live.com) but cannot send mail. Tried a number of fixes I found on the web. Tried every possible combination in the sending options to no avail! I have installed (I think) hotway still no luck. Please help...I really like linux and evolution.

My mail provider is MSN (@live.com) Thunderbird and kmail did the same thing??? I don't understand why I can receive and not send. The RX side is POP3. live.com and the TX side is smtp.live .com but the send side timing out... it has lots of time to do whatever it needs to do... I tried :25 and several others to no avail. (ubuntu 10.10 amd64)
