Evolution wont receive/send emails since last update

Hello there, since last update from the update manager I have gotten constant problems with ubuntu. At first flash wouldn't have sound for example.
My evolution mail doesn't receive or send email and the account is set up correctly and has worked like a charm until now. I really don't know what has happened all I can say is that it probably has something to do with those installed updates...
Its a gmail account.
