where, how & what do I do to enter POP3 & SMTP in Ubuntu 10.4

(FYI, This is being typed on my work computer that uses Windows.)

I am trying to set up my own destop & new laptop loaded with Ubuntu 10.4.

Evolution will not send messages on the gmail a/c that I have set up on the machine. I get the message

MAILFROM command failed. Authentication required. Learn more from htpp://google.co./support/bin/answer.py?answer = 14257 p22sm505115vcf.44 that doesn't work for me - "not found"

 I have eventually found .... htpp://google.co./support/bin/answer.py?answer Answer = 13287 and have got instructions
It seems that I am required to enter POP3 & SMTP settings. I can'tget to this part of Ubuntu

Where do I find the place to enter the settings in Ubuntu 10.4?

Also how do I set up wireless conection & blueteeth so I can use my laptop at the other end of the house or in wireless hotspots?

In Evolution go to Edit – Preferences and click on Mail Accounts.

if you are at very first run of evolution you can follow the wizard as you can see in this video:
