Where is my trash?

Asked by Robert Peterson

When I delete emails, I can't recover them from the Trash folder because it shows empty, yet I have 550 deleted emails. How do I see them to recover the ones that were trashed by mistake?

If you mean there are 550 mails in the Deleted Items folder in Evolution, then you can simply click on Deleted Items and look at the mails in there. If you wish to place them back in your main email box, then you can simply use the Undelete option (right click on the mail you wish to recover).

If you mean you sent the mails from the Deleted Items folder to Junk and then cleared the Junk folder, the mails are gone - they don't go to the Trash folder. The Junk folder is the equivalent of the Trash for Evolution and, just the same as with the Trash folder, once you empty it, the stuff is gone.

Thanks but can't find the Deleted Items folder in Evolution, where should it be?

The Deleted Items folder should appear with the other folders in the sidebar. If you don't have a sidebar at all, go to:
View > Layout > Show Side Bar
and make sure it's ticked.

Can you help with this problem?
