reading Thunderbird mail boxes in Evolution

Asked by Richard Brown

I have some old mail archives files on CD in cdrom0/mailcenter and need to locate an old email which was sent and received in Thunderbird v 1.n (maybe 1.7)

On the d, in a mail folder theer are a òot of binary .msf files. I need to read them- or import them somehow, so I can look for the email I need

I've tried the import menu in evolution, but it does not allow me to complete the wizard as it never recognises the file type.

Any help gratefully received

Hello,
don't use the .msf files that are summary files. Use the file without .msf. For example:
Assuming that are two files in the directory

example.msf
example

To import the mails in Evolution use the file named example.

Hope that helps.
