Moving mails to spam folder by rule

Asked by Olray

In an attempt to migrate all email from Windows to Ubuntu I have installed and trained popfile email classification system.

I'd like to have all mail starting with "[spam]" in the subject moved to the junk folder. To achieve this I have created an INBOUND rule using Edit > Message filter:

Any of the following:
Subject begins with "[spam]"
Then:
Set Status: Unwanted

Now when polling mail the mail with a subject starting with "[spam]" are still there in the INBOX. I expected them to be moved to the spam folder. Actually I forgot something... someone please tell me ^.^

Why not simply change the rule so that instead of setting the status it moves the email to the spam folder directly?

Probably a little late, but did you apply the filter with Ctrl-Y (or through the menu) after receiving the messages?

Can you help with this problem?
