getting error in email "user not local"

in Evoution when I "send/Receive" I get this error message "RCPT TO.........failed.. User not local; please try <forward-path>
How do I fix this?

It seems you are trying to send an email message using a SMTP server that does not allow you to do that.

To fix this, make sure you entered correct information on this screen: Edit > Preferences > Mail Accounts (select your account) > Edit > Sending Email. For example, you may need to check "Server requires authentication" option and specify the required password when you send email
