Why does evolution silently lose message flags when moving between GroupWise folders?

I'm using evolutoin as a GroupWise client. If I flag a message and then move it to another folder, the flag status is silently discarded.
Any idea why?
ARGH! I *hate* it when computers throw away my work! And doing it silently is even worse!
