How to assign labels quickly?

Asked by jamielinux

Is there a way to label a message using a keyboard shortcut? With Thunderbird I can use keys 1 thru 5 to quickly tag e-mails with the predefined labels. I would like to do the same with Evolution.

Unfortunately, I believe the answer is "no" at this point in time. There does not appear to be any quick method of labeling messages via the keyboard. The closest I have found is to use the "menu" button, followed by "L", and the appropriate label accelerator for the label (e.g. "m" for Important).

Anyone know if you can assign a label to a message when it is open? I can only seem to set the labels in the inbox.

Cheers,

Dave
