evolution mail is not keeping my sent mail

Evolution mail has stopped retaining email that I sent. I can find this email through my gmail account but for some reason
it is not appearing on Evolution. I am receiving incoming mail without a problem.

Check to see if your sent mail is being stored in the "Sent" folder under "On This Computer" on the left hand pane.

If that's where it's ending up, you may need to modify the email account settings for your GMail account in Evolution. Edit->Preferences, select your GMail account, click Edit. Change to the "Default" tab and modify the Sent and Drafts folder locations to be stored on the GMail server.

I'm assuming you're using IMAP.

You may also wish to check "Check all folders for new messages in all folders" on the Receiving Mail tab.

Also, make sure you've subscribed to all of the folders you want to see in Evolution. See Folder->Subscriptions.
