determine column width in evolution once and for all

I am using the vertical preview in Evolution. Every time I open Evolution the columns (like subject, date, from, ...) have become very narrow. Is there a way to determine the column width which is respected when I open Evolution?

Hello,

Maybe I'm wrong, but did you try to save the view settings? I see this menu in Evolution (sorry I have to translate from French, maybe your menus are slightly different):

Display => Current view
Then just above "Define views" there is a "Customized view" which can be saved.
