Fonts overlap in Evince 2.22.2

Asked by Harvey Babb

While viewing a .pdf document in Evince the characters overlap each other, making it unreadable.
(Looks fine using Adobe reader on windows.)
The document in question is at http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/novice.pdf

Ubuntu 8.04/Evince 2.22.2

Any help would be appreciated; I am trying to wean myself from Micro$oft!!

I could not get acroread to load from medibuntu repository, but was successful getting it directly from the Adobe site.
Acroread 8 displays the page properly.
Bug report logged, and thank you very much for the help!

Had the same problem but the characters were displayed correctly in Evince after installing Adobe Acrobat Reader.
