cbr pager won't read cbr files

The cbr pager won't read cbr files. It will read cbz files. Any suggestions?

CBR file is actually a RAR file. Ubuntu doesn't come with RAR by default, so you have to install it using the Add/Remove application.

I installed Archive Manager, Xarchiver, Ark, Squeeze and 7 Zip. The problem persists. Which program should I install to solve this problem?

When you open the Add/Remove program, search for "rar", and it should appear as the first item in the list. Then just select it and install. I did that, and it worked, then I used the application "Comix" to view the .cbr files.

using synaptic I searched for rar and installed the package
I could not install rar add/remove applications
the cbr pager program still did not work but the Comix program did work
