Hi,

Is there a way to get the pdf? Without the pdf, it is impossible to reproduce the problem.

Arnaudus (a-lerouzic) said : #2

It seems that this looks like a very recent bug, (bug #379098), but there as well, no pdf -> impossible to check.

Josh Kupershmidt (schmiddy) said : #4

I can confirm the missing text using evince 2.24 with the linked PDF. This is probably a bug that should be filed upstream either against evince or against libpoppler (which evince uses for PDF rendering), but someone should probably check with the latest version of evince (2.27) and libpoppler first.

Text seems to be all there with Karmic's (karmic-updates) version of Evince: 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2

Retract last comment. Failed to notice that I opened it with Adobe Reader by mistake.

In fact, text IS MISSING using Evince 2.28.1-0ubuntu1.2 and libpoppler 0.12.0-0ubuntu2.1

I agree with Josh Kupershmidt, you should file this as a bug and link the PDF file as an example.

To file this as a bug, open a terminal window and type: ubuntu-bug libpoppler5

If it doesn't know the package libpoppler5, then open up Synaptic Package Manager and figure out which libpoppler package you have and use that.

Can you help with this problem?
