Where can I change the height of the highlight?

When highlighting in some documents the highlighting is very wide.

The problem happens with Document Viewer (evince). When I select the text to highlight from some documents the size covers more than half of the next line and when highlighting it paints everything selected. If there is a way to change the size of the highlight it would fix the problem, but I'm not sure if it exists.

Did I get it right - the text height does not change back after the selection is removed?

Make a bug report for evince.
To start your bug report open a Terminal[ctl+alt+t]
Type: ubuntu-bug evince

This will collect extra information for your bug report.
Please, include your screenshot of the wide highlighting on the bug report.
