pdf files download but don't open

This is weird, but since I installed my printer yesterday and typed something in the terminal for the scanner...any pdf files I try to open do not work. I don't know if this is related or not.

When I try to open a school pdf file from my professor it downloads and then it just says Loading.... But nothing happens, I've tried several different pdf files and get the same result with all?

Have you tried right-clicking the file in question and selecting «Open with "Document viewer"»?

If not, «Open with Other Application..» then to scroll until you find «Document viewer» and use that one?

Can you help with this problem?
