Not so much a bug, rather a feature request

Asked by imachine

Binary package hint: evince

So it would be great if Evince could provide the user to make a tag on a pdf file, one that would stick, written down somewhere else, similar to ~/.viminfo file for remembering last cursor placement in vim.

This way one could make notes in say long pdf files like books etc, on particular pages.

If it's not yet there, please do not bash, rather try and implement it in the next Ubuntu evince release.

I'm sure it would be an appreciated feature.

Cheers

I thought "question" seems more fitting for a feature request or the like.

Cheers!

Please do not foward feature requests to the support tracker, this should be a bug marked as a feature request. this is *not* the place for feature requests and the original place it was posted was the correct place.

Hi, how can post feature requests then, using Apport?

There is a bunch of things I find lacking, in a bunch of places, that could help improve things slightly, but I don't want to mess launchpad with bogus requests.

Cheers,

Erh; wrong button. Sorry for causing frustration, it's one the first times I actually use this interface ;)

you should use the launchpad bug reporting tools. https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince
