pdf files do not open

when i try to open a pdf file (downloading) sometimes it works, sometimes it does not. any suggestions?

pls try in a terminal

evince <path> filename

where <path> is the place where the file is located ex /home/<yourName>

and filename is the name of file ex Somefile.pdf

give it a try, it should work.

sorry, I forgot, there is a quicker way to do it

just go Places-->home folder and navigate on left panel where the pdf file is located then right click on it and pick

Open with 'Document viewer'

it's the first option.
