(Evince) Printing even and odd pages

When I try to print pdf file with following options:

Two-sided: One sided
Pages per side: 4
Page ordering: Left to right, top to bottom
Only print: Even sheets
Scale: 100.0 %

it prints out pages 4,5,6,7. It is also visible in print preview.

Additional information:

Ubuntu 11.04
Canon Pixma mp 220

Can you link to the PDF you are trying to print? PDF pages may not correspond to the the in-document pages. This may be further complicated by the use of multiple numbering systems (i, ii, iii, iv,v and 1,2,3,4,5) in the document.

The document page numbers in the PDF file and those written on the page are out of sync. Evince is functioning correctly; the problem is in the PDF itself, if there is any problem at all (I don't consider it a problem)

Try enabling the side pane in evince (view->side pane); then look at the page numbers in the thumbnail view.
