PDF picture selection

How can I select the picture from PDF document in ubuntu? It was object selection tool in windows based system but it is not available in ubuntu PDF.

evince doesn't provide many editing features. If you want to be able to select any part of a page in a PDF and create a separate image file from it, you may want to use a program like gimp.
