Can you describe which forms you are downloading? This seems like two separate problems -- windows users should be able to open any of these formats. (PDF/Doc/jpeg). PDF is a "publication format" and is generally regarded as a one-way trip you can go doc->PDF but not the other way around.

Are you sending the emails from your gmail account?

Hi Brenda,

Unfortunately launchpad does not support attachments. Can you post a link? Some PDFs can be marked to disallow saving of contents, in order to force the user to print the contents instead.

You can try, instead of simply saving the PDF, using the "print to file" option instead, in order to work around any possible "must print" problem

oh. i just remembered how i made it work. you have to enable view comments in acrobat reader to see the filled in data. sounds stupid, doesn't it.

there's a pdf to jpg program on sourceforge.net

http://sourceforge.net/projects/imageprinter/

it's for windoze, but you might be able to run it under wine.

i find a free online pdf converter, it can convert pdf to editable microsoft word(http://www.online-code.net/pdf-to-word.html) and convert pdf to jpg(http://www.online-code.net/pdf-to-image.html) free online.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask brenda for more information if necessary.
