evince default behavior

How does one change the default behavior of the evince document viewer? Not sure exactly when or how it got changed, but now it insists on saving *.pdf files when I would prefer its' prior behavior of opening files referenced by links in HTML

Evince is only a viewer. If you want to convert pdf to html you need to use this;

Oops, my bad, this wasn't an evince behavior, but a it was caused by a preference setting in Firefox that got changed somehow.
