Some of the fonts is not displayed correctly

Asked by Levente Torok

Some of the fonts (summa = Greek S, product = Greep P) is not displayed correctly. Instead of the Summa I see a huge Dot, instead of Product, I see fraction sign.
An example is at
http://www.cs.princeton.edu/~blei/papers/BleiNgJordan2003.pdf
Equation 1, 2 .. etc begining at page 996.
I suspect some of the font installations is not correct in my case but I don't know how to figure out what is wrong.
Controversially xpdf displays them correctly.

When xpdf works maybe consider to report a bug.

By removing package ttf-symbol-replacement-wine1.3 or ttf-symbol-replacement (depending on what distribution you are running) will solve this issue.
