Bridging of eth0 on cluster controller?

Asked by Torsten Spindler

In the cc.log I see the following warning:

[Fri Mar 19 12:17:28 2010][008848][EUCAWARN ] vnetInitTunnels(): in MANAGED-NOVLAN mode, priv interface 'eth0' must be a bridge, tunneling disabled

What functionality will I gain when enabling bridging for the private network?

If I am not mistaken, that is only relevant if you have multiple clusters. IIRC, inter-cluster communication will bridged between CC using vtun (yuck!), hence why the private interface (the one facing the NC) has to be a bridge.

But you can safely ignore the warning if you have a single cluster.

Unfortunately the warning is put every 5 seconds in the log files. But thanks for the answer!
