How do I get Eqonomize to work in Ubuntu 10.04?

Asked by olle

I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 from 9.
Now my Eqonomize one flashes a second and dies, why?
I have tried to reinstall Eqonomize but with the same result.

See the discussion on the linked Bug #519075. You basically do

apt-get --build source eqonomize
sudo dpkg -i eqonomize*.deb

Note that the first step assumes that you have development libraries installed. If you do not have these (quite likely), you might want to run this first:

sudo aptitude build-dep eqonomize
