Why cann't I find Epiphany in "Application"-->"Internet"?

Asked by jerrydiao

Hi,

I've managed to install Epiphany by keying the command "sudo apt-get install epiphany-browser",

but failed to find it in the menu "Application"-->"Internet", thus now I have to key "epiphany" in the Terminal to start it.

I wonder is there any way to place the browser in "Application"-->"Internet" for starting ,or is there any easier , "non-Terminal" starting method?

Thanks
Best Regard / Jerry

You're right, I've just changed the status of this bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epiphany-browser/+bug/188468
(it might change, I don't know if I should open a new bug)

The problem seems to be in the categories. Execute this command in terminal:
gksu gedit /usr/share/applications/epiphany.desktop

Edit the line:
Categories=Network;GNOME;GTK;WebBrowser;

to be:
Categories=Application;Network;

Now you should see it in Applications > Internet :)
