Reloading image (svg)

I would like to know if there is a way to reload an image without having to close eog. I am (for some strange reason) editing svg's in a text editor. I would like to get a quick preview of the image by switching windows and reloading the image. Is there a way to do this?

Open eye of gnome, click edit > preferences, plugins tab and enable 'reload'.
Then you can use tools > reload :)
