Want to print color photos in Black and White

Asked by Marty McLaren

I'm just learning about printing photos. How can I view saved color photos and print them in B & W?
I'm not finding any menus or toolbars that give me this option, although it was an option when I was first downloading the photos to the computer.

Thanks,

Marty

It turns out that I don't know how to get and utilize Gimp. For downloads to Ubuntu, it says: apt-get install gimp

I'm afraid I don't know where to start in order to use that command. Can you tell me, please?

Thanks,

Marty

no problem.
first try "applications" " graphics" "gimp" from the menu it should be there by default

if not check out the package manager

synaptic package manager
"applications" "system" "administration" "synaptic package manager". search for gimp

or from "applications" accessories" "terminal"
thats where you can type in "sudo apt-get install gimp"
it should ask for a password then say yes to install.

the package manager and apt-get plus aptitude are one of my favorite part of debian & ubuntu etc. have fun with it.
