Window Shows ok to Print But a window starts to flash, showing not connected, how do I connect my printer I also changed my USB wire, thinking that was it, but it still does the same thing?

Does Ubuntu recognize the Printer? It seems so that Lexmark doesnt provide any Linux-Driver

It sound like what happens when installing a Lexmark printer as text printer, as cups proposed to do when I tried to install a Lexmark X1180.

Lexmark seems to have very bad Linux support, but they offer some ancient Linux drivers on their homepage.

I followed this Howto, and although it was the most complicated printer installation I had to do on Ubuntu in the last years it worked perfectly, printer and scanner:
